At Evolve Africa Initiative, we are committed to bridging the gap in Bible accessibility for marginalized communities. Our latest endeavour is an oral Bible translation project tailored specifically for the Kusur people of Plateau State. This initiative stems from the stark reality of low literacy rates within the community, making it challenging for them to engage with the written word.

Research has shown that oral storytelling is an effective means of communication and knowledge transfer, particularly in communities where literacy levels are low. By harnessing the power of audio, we aim to make the Bible more accessible and understandable for the Kusur people.
Our Approach:
To ensure the success of this project, we are working closely with:
- Local church leaders and pastors who provide invaluable context, guidance, and support
- Mother-tongue translators who are fluent in the Kusur language and possess a deep understanding of the local culture
- Oral Bible translators who specialize in adapting biblical content for oral storytelling
- Community reviewers who review and provide feedback on the translated content to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance
We are currently seeking partner organizations to support this project. If your organization shares our passion for making the Bible accessible to all, we invite you to collaborate with us. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of the Kusur people.
Benefits of Partnership
By partnering with us, your organization will contribute to:
- Increasing Bible accessibility for marginalized communities
- Promoting literacy and education through oral storytelling
- Empowering local churches and communities through contextualized biblical content
Join us in this endeavour to share the transformative power of the Bible with the Kusur people. To learn more about partnership opportunities or to express your interest, please contact us.
