Led by Rufina Nyelong, a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment with over two decades of experience in transformative development, we are dedicated to advancing women’s rights, education, health, and agricultural development.
Through collaborative partnerships and targeted initiatives, we work hand-in-hand with communities to address their pressing needs and create a positive, long-lasting impact across Africa.
Rufina Nyelong
Executive Director
Rufina Nyelong is a seasoned advocate for women’s empowerment and development, with over two decades of experience driving transformative change across Nigeria. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from the University of Maiduguri and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Rufina brings a unique blend of academic excellence and practical expertise to her work.
As the Executive Director of Evolve Africa Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing women’s rights, health, agriculture, and education, Rufina has established herself as a respected leader and voice for marginalized communities. With a proven track record of strategic leadership, program development, and community engagement, Rufina continues to inspire and empower individuals, organizations, and governments to work towards a more equitable, just, and progressive society.

Our Projects

Oral Bible Translation
We are dedicated to preserving indigenous African languages and empowering communities through oral Bible translation. This project ensures that the transformative power of the Bible reaches communities in their native languages.
Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Education
Through mentorship, training, and resource provision, we prepare the next generation of African leaders. Our entrepreneurship education programs for youth corp members equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the business landscape and build sustainable enterprises.
